Professional Alpinist and Mountain Guide
«The past is history, the future is a mystery, and every moment is a gift.»
Simon Gietl
Simon Gietl, born in 1984, spent his childhood among the wonderful mountains of South Tyrol.
He discovered his love of mountaineering later in life. At 18, during his training as a carpenter, he discovered his passion for climbing. No other sport had ever exerted such intensity on him before. After 3 years in the vertical world, Simon realized: «Carpentry is my profession, but not my calling». That’s how he came to set out on the path toward becoming a mountain guide.
Today he is a certified mountain guide and alpinist and is supported by leading brands and companies to help realize his projects.
Simon Gietl is an alpinist and mountain guide through and through. Through his images and videos, the participants at his events «feel» the breathtaking landscapes and experience the wonderful natural world up close. With Simon Gietl, you dive into a fascinating mountain world and get to know the people behind the projects. He shares his passionate «why», the highs and lows of his expeditions, and how important a well-functioning team is.
An authentic speaker and a wonderful father, he inspires everyone to think about what each of us can do to preserve nature for the future — for our children!
