In our coaching and project work, we make intensive use of metaphors, anecdotes, and case studies from elite sports. One reason: emotions and high performance are especially tangible there. Examples from the world of sports are relatable—they engage people regardless of their personal connection to the sport.
Another key driver is our ambition to continuously explore the factors that enable high performance. Through direct exchange with athletes, teams, and organizations, we draw a great deal of energy and inspiration—and repeatedly recognize that professional sports are ahead of the corporate world in many respects, especially when it comes to unlocking human potential.
We are currently working, among other things, on a case study with the German second-division club SV Elversberg.

Located in the Saarland and with just around 13,000 inhabitants, Elversberg isn’t the first place that comes to mind as a hub for high performance. Yet it is precisely here that a club recently achieved a remarkable rise—from the regional league to becoming an established force in the second division. Without a major investor—and initially even without a stadium. As of today, SV Elversberg sits in third place, with a real chance of being promoted to the Bundesliga.
The phenomenon of SV Elversberg goes far beyond football. With only a fraction of the personnel and resources, the club has achieved an incredible run of success that began around ten years ago—and shows no signs of ending. The journey of SVE has long since become a movement, uniting and energizing an entire region, its families, and its businesses.

A week ago, Isabel Dingler and Oliver Böhm from our team were on site for the second time. In conversations with key stakeholders, we are getting closer to uncovering the secret behind Elversberg’s success—and we had the chance to celebrate the sensational 6–0 victory of SV Elversberg against Jahn Regensburg and experience the spirit in the stadium firsthand.
At JENEWEIN, we deeply believe in the power of stories to inspire people and help them grow beyond themselves. That’s why we invest a lot of heart and energy into identifying and documenting real-life examples that show: when we create environments in which people can thrive and feel connected, extraordinary things become possible—whether in sports or in business.
Many thanks to SV Elversberg for an incredible match, the warm Saarland hospitality, and the many encounters with positive and passionate people. See you again soon—and best of luck on your journey!
